Meet Your Therapist

Hi, I’m Mrunal. A Counselling Psychologist and the heart behind Roots to Resilience.

I hold space for people who are ready to come home to themselves without pressure to have it all figured out.

Whether you're navigating burnout, anxiety, self-doubt, or simply the quiet weight of daily life, therapy with me is a space to slow down, make sense of what you’re feeling, and reconnect with your inner clarity.

My approach draws from Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness, nervous system regulation, and  CBT all woven together with deep presence and care. Our work is collaborative, gentle, and rooted in the belief that healing unfolds when you feel truly seen.

I found out about Mrunal ma'am when I was in the
lowest phase in my life. And my life has only
gotten better since that. She's professional and
made me feel comfortable expressing my feelings.
My life has been literally altered since I started
taking therapy sessions from Mrunal ma'am and
she won't even take credit for it. I would
recommend her 200% to anyone who's going
through something and I am sure you heal at a
faster pace and alter your life once you start
taking therapy. Thank you so much for everything
that you have done ma'am.

I can’t thank Mrunal ma’am enough for the support she gave me. From day one, she made me feel really safe and comfortable...like I could finally talk without being judged. There was this one conversation we had that honestly shifted something big for me. I was feeling completely lost at the time, and what she said gave me a whole new perspective. It brought me so much clarity and calm. That moment really stayed with me, and I’m so grateful for it.

FAQ's

Q: I’m not sure if I really need therapy. Can I still reach out? A: Absolutely. You don’t need to be sure before reaching out. Sometimes, just having a safe space to explore what you’re feeling can bring clarity. That’s exactly why I offer a free 20-minute discovery call. No pressure, no commitment, just a chance to connect and see if this feels like the right step for you.

Q: Can I message you between sessions if something comes up? A: You’re always welcome to reach out between sessions if something feels important. While I may not be able to offer in-depth support outside our scheduled time, I’ll hold your message with care and get back to you as thoughtfully and promptly as I can..

Q: How many sessions will I need? A: It depends on your goals and needs. Some clients come in for short-term support (4–8 sessions), while others choose to explore deeper patterns over time. We’ll keep checking in to make sure therapy continues to feel useful and supportive for you.

Q: What if I need to cancel or reschedule a session? A: Life happens! I just ask for at least 24 hours’ notice so I can offer the slot to someone else. Late cancellations or no-shows may be charged a full session fee.

Q: Do you offer therapy in languages other than English? A: I primarily offer therapy in English, but I’m also comfortable using Marathi or Hindi if it helps create a more easeful space for you.

Q: What approaches do you use in therapy? A: I use an eclectic approach that includes Internal Family Systems (IFS), Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Nervous System Regulation, CBT, and ACT, based on what fits you best.

Q: I’ve tried therapy before and didn’t connect. How do I know this will be different? A: Every therapist is different—and so are you. If we work together, I’ll invite open conversations about what’s working and what isn’t. You deserve a space that feels right, and I’m here to co-create that with you.

Q: Can I try a few sessions and then decide if it’s right for me? A: Absolutely. You’re welcome to begin with a few sessions and see how it feels. There’s no long-term commitment. This space is for you, and it’s okay to take your time with the process.

Q: What if I don’t know what to say in therapy? A: That’s completely okay. You don’t need to come in with a script or a clear story. I’ll meet you where you are. Whether that’s silence, confusion, tears, or questions. There’s no wrong way to show up.

Policies

Appointment & Cancellation Policy

Dear Client,

Welcome! Whether you’re exploring therapy for the first time or returning to it, I want you to know that I hold deep respect for your choice to begin this work. This work means a lot to me. Not just as a profession, but as something I care about with my whole heart. I promise to hold our time together with intention, no matter what else is going on in my world. In order for me to show up fully present and grounded in every session, I need a structure that supports that.

These appointment policies are part of what helps me hold this space with consistency, care, and sincerity so that I can be there for you in the way you deserve. These policies may seem like small logistical details, but underneath them is a shared understanding: this space matters. Your time matters. This work deserves to be held with clarity, consistency, and care. When sessions are honoured, it builds rhythm. When boundaries are respected, it creates safety. These aren’t just rules, they are part of how I protect the energy and focus needed to offer you the kind of presence and care this work calls for.

I invite you to read the policies below with that spirit in mind. They will be followed under all circumstances, not out of rigidity, but from a place of care, trust, and commitment to the process we're stepping into together.

Thank you for being here. I truly look forward to walking alongside you.

Privacy and Confidentiality Policy

At Roots to Resilience, your privacy is treated with the care and respect it deserves. This is a space where you should feel safe, seen, and heard. And that includes how your personal information is handled.

Respect for Your Privacy
The therapist will only collect personal information that is relevant and necessary for the counseling process. Clients have the right to understand why any information is being requested and how it supports their therapeutic work and well-being.

Confidentiality Is a Priority
Everything shared during sessions is held in strict confidence. Maintaining client trust is central to the therapeutic relationship. Information will not be disclosed to anyone without the client’s informed consent, except in circumstances where there is a legal or ethical obligation to do so.

Understanding the Limits of Confidentiality
At the start of therapy, and whenever necessary during the course of treatment, the therapist will clearly explain the boundaries and limitations of confidentiality. While confidentiality is fundamental to therapy, certain situations require exceptions.

The main exceptions include:

1. Risk of Serious Harm
If the therapist believes a client or someone else is at risk of serious, foreseeable harm, they are legally and ethically required to act in the interest of safety. This may involve disclosing information to protect the client or others in cases of suicide risk, self-harm, threats of harm to others, or abuse.

2. Legal Requirements or Court Orders
If a court or legal authority mandates the release of client information, the therapist will first attempt to obtain the client's written consent. If that is not possible, every effort will be made to protect the client’s privacy and limit the disclosure to only what is legally required.

3. Life-Threatening, Communicable Diseases
If a client discloses a communicable, life-threatening disease and an identifiable third party is at serious risk, the therapist may be required to disclose this information. Prior to any such disclosure, the therapist will discuss the matter thoroughly with the client and explore the client’s intent to inform those at risk.
